Despite a F4 tornado practically destroying the city of Rolling Fork on March 24, the Great Delta Bear Affair committee has decided they are going to go forward with planning the festival for October 28. Festival coordinator, Meg Cooper, stated that “while we don’t know what will be happening in Rolling Fork at that time, or what it will look like, this community needs a festival to look forward to, and we plan to make it happen.”
The committee is a little behind in the planning process and in seeking sponsors, but feel like they can catch up on everything and have a terrific festival. There will definitely be a lot of free space for folks to spread out in downtown!
So mark your calendar for October 28 and make plans to be in Rolling fork for the 22nd annual Great Delta Bear Affair!
