Named for the local dairy bar, where these chili and slaw burgers became famous, the Chuckburger Eating Contest will be held at 11:30 a.m. The contest is limited to no more than 8 participants, and sign-up will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.
Participants must be 18 years or older, and must sign a liability waiver. Each contestant will have 5 large Chuckburgers or 8 small Chuckburgers to eat in 5 minutes. The contestant will be considered finished when a Judge confirms that the contestant has swallowed all 5/8 Chuckburgers. In the event of a tie, the contestants will be given one Chuckburger.
Whoever consumes it first without any food left in his/her mouth will be the winner. The contest winner will receive a $100 cash prize, a trophy and the distinction of having his/her name on a plaque at Chuck’s Dairy Bar in Rolling Fork.
Registration is onsite this year. First-come, first-served.
What is a Chuckburger?
A Chuckburger, the signature sandwich from Rolling Fork’s local eatery, Chuck’s Dairy Bar, is a hamburger dressed with chili and slaw in a bun. The winner receives $100 and a one-of-a-kind trophy. The contest is sponsored by Chuck’s Dairy Bar and will take place on the Main Stage at 11:30 during the festival.
